How to Choose Finalize the right Natural Stone

SLATE STONE TILES:- These are the softest stone and can be pealed out with any regular pressure. These are therefore recommended for wall cladding and low activity floors with proper sealing. Slate stones are available in Natural, Tumbled and polished finish, but the beauty of this stone is more visible in only Natural finish. These are available in Tile and small slab size. Hence Slate stone tiles are soft stones and therefore recommended to use as wall tiles with proper sealing.

QUARTZITE STONE:

These are harder then slate, due to quartz particles in it and are mostly used for interior cladding and flooring. Used also for Table tops. Quartzite Stone are available in Natural, Tumbled, Polished and Brushed Antique finish. Natural, polished and Brushed all these types have there different look and pull out the beauty escaped in the depth of stone. Sizes available are Tile and small slab size. Being soft, Hence Quartzite tiles are mostly recommend to use as wall tiles being these are not very hard stone.

TRAVERTINE STONE:

It is a soft stone and mostly used to give an antique look to the wall. It look antique in the natural finish and mostly available in tile size.

SANDSTONE:

It is a soft stone as well as hard and mostly advised to use outside the building in Natural finish for Cladding and garden/pathway flooring. Interior walls in Natural, polished, sandblasted n brushed finish. It absorbs water very fast and it can take heavy hot and cold temperatures. Outside floors are recommended in Natural finish only. These are available in Tiles, Natural small slabs and medium size Gangsaw cut slabs. It is a hard stone and therefore recommended for exterior paving in natural split finish and for interior furthermore with special finishes like polished or sanded.

LIMESTONE TILES:

Harder then Sandstone, used as sandstone but it is more brittle. The flooring interior is recommended in Polished/Honed finish and exterior in Natural finish. Cladding can be of Natural, polished or honed finish. Due to the smoothness of this stone, these are very much recommended in Natural Steps, Benches, Garden Table tops etc. These are available in Tiles and small slab sizes. It is a hard and smooth stones therefore it is best recommend for stone pavings.

MARBLE STONE :

Marble is a type of Limestone, it is basically more smooth in Natural and give an attracting antique look to the floor, wall or any top. Polished and Brushed Antique finish is available. These the available in tiles and Gangsaw size slabs. Some of the Marble like Rainforest Green n Rainforest brown have a classic brushed antique finish. Marble give a sophisticated feeling and not very strong as compared to granite, hence it is recommended to use as floor and wall tiles with proper sealing.

GRANITE STONE :

Very Hard stone, Used in interior n exteriors. These are available in Tiles, small and big slabs. These have varies finishes, like, Honed, Polished, Brushed, leather and fired. These are therefore recommended based on the area of use. Granite is a strong stone and hence it can be used in interior, exterior, walls or columns.

SEMI-PRECIOUS STONE:

It is a very hard stone and it being very costly and very glossy and Translucent it is mostly used for decorating a special area either ordinary of by backlit. These stones are used to give a luxury feeling.

STONE MOSAIC:-

Mosaic Tiles are made by assembling small pieces of various finish and size stone in a fix assembled size of say 10x30cm, 15x60cm or say 30x30cm. These are decorative tiles, used to give a special look to the area.

STONE ARTICLES (Natural Stone):

Stone Articles are the various Garden ornaments prepared with stones in the form of Stone Fountain, Stone Column, Stone Bird, Stone ball, Stone Statue, Stone Animal, Stone Birdbath etc. These are decorative stones used to enhance the beauty of any place.

PEBBLES (Natural Stone):-

Pebble are the round stones which are rounded due to effect of flow of river water with time or these can be prepared manually with machines by tumbling. This can be either rough finish or Polished finish. Pebbles are used as decorative stones in Garden, Fountains, planters and interior decoration.

COBBLESTONE:

 These are prepared with Hard Sandstone or Paving stones or Granite in Natural finish by splitting the edges by hand in various size 14x14cm, 10x10cm, 20x10cm in thickness of 4-6cm, 5-7cm, 6-8cm etc. Theser are heavy duty stone used for path ways, drive ways, which can hold any pressure of heavy traffic.

FLEXIBLE STONE VENEER:

These stone are flexible stones prepared from natural slate stone with thickness of 1-2mm and this really creates a decorative area with the ease of use of stone at various curves or round areas.
